Cách đây vài ngày, Microsoft đã đưa ra thông báo cho biết công ty đang bắt đầu cấp chứng nhận phần cứng WHCP cho bản cập nhật tính năng Windows tiếp theo: Phiên bản 24H2. Điều này về cơ bản sẽ đảm bảo rằng hệ thống Windows 11 24H2 kiểm soát tính đủ điều kiện của CPU tương thích, và được hỗ trợ đúng cách bởi các đối tác phần cứng như AMD hoặc Intel. Mặc dù danh sách yêu cầu hệ thống dự kiến sẽ không thay đổi nhưng về cơ bản, các bộ xử lý quá cũ sẽ không thể vượt qua khối đủ điều kiện của Windows 11 24H2 vì chúng không có hỗ trợ PopCnt và SSE4.2.
Đáng chú ý là chính sách tương tự cũng sẽ được áp dụng đối với Windows Server 2025. Vốn cũng vừa nhận được Evaluation ISO chính thức.
Bên cạnh đó, Microsoft cũng đã công bố ra mắt phiên bản Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 đầu tuần này, đi kèm với đó là danh sách yêu cầu hệ thống tối thiểu cũng như các dòng vi xử lý cụ thể được hỗ trợ. Danh sách được phân loại theo hai hạng mục là Preferred (Ưu tiên) và Optional (Tùy chọn). Dưới đây là danh sách yêu cầu hệ thống tối thiểu của Windows 11 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2024, cả ưu tiên và tùy chọn:
